Interns Reap Benefits of Directory One Internship Program

The Directory One internship program offers many benefits. One of the many benefits is to learn the ins and outs of search engine optimization and website marketing. This week I fell more in love with Google because I learned some tricks of the trade. The capabilities of Google go far beyond just typing in a search term and getting a pool of results. Allintitle and Site are two phrases that can be typed into Google to learn a lot about a website’s anatomy and its competition. Read on to learn more about these unique features, and you can thank me later!

This week during the Directory One Internship program, I was able to explore “allintitle”. The search term “allintitle” followed by a keyword(ex. houston seafood) will give you results that show all of the competitors who are associated with that keyword. You’d be amazed at how many results may come up. Are you curious as to how many websites are associated with houston marketing company? Just type in allintitle:houston marketing company to get the results.

The Benefits of the Directory One Internship Program don’t stop there. The search term “site” followed by a domain name is beneficial when breaking down a website. For example, “site:www.directoryone.com” will provide a sitemap like list of results in the Google search engine. You will be able to see all the pages that make up that website. How cool is that?!
