Interviewing for a search engine marketing job

Sunday 17 December 2006 @ 10:03 am

The last couple of weeks I have been in several interviews. I liked them all. I was really surprised how much people are interested in search engine marketing. I was looking for a few things such as information categories and level of competence. Category 1 is on page optimization techniques. Catergory 2 is back link information. Category 3 was PPC experience. Category 5 was RSS installation and information. Category 6 is blog information. Category 7 is content and article management systems. Category 8 and most important now is social networking site information and posting. Category 9 is Wiki posting and editing. Category 10 PEOPLE SKILLS and working in a team environment.

Replacing SEO and search engine marketing talent

Saturday 16 December 2006 @ 8:54 pm

Amir Zaman, and Rozann Janek were hired to replace Sean Odom and John Holchin at Directory One last week. It was a interesting job for Rozann and Amir I am sure. Amir is a Internet Marketing expert and has great experience at many technologies. David Sims will be brought in as a partner in a new phone business we are trying to acquire. Rozann’s work references included the Chairman of Pinkerton. She is working on the deal to buy the phone company. 3 PPC specialists will lead Directory One in 2007 and the rest of this year. Cristy Hayes has been promoted to lead writer at Directory One. Cristy and Rozann are both great journalist. We are lucky to acquire such great talent when losing such great talent like Sean and John.

Tony Fera of 3 Core Software runs gifts around to customers.

Saturday 16 December 2006 @ 8:42 pm

Tony Fera a customer of mine said he went out to see his customers in the Houston area and took them gifts. He is a really good sales person, he is earning his business the old fashion way with a handshake. Customers want to see and communicate with people. People are the commodity we sell. Whom ever collects the most people skills, people will win.

Elaine’s Florist of Houston, Texas gets 12,000 dollar order off the Net.

Saturday 16 December 2006 @ 8:37 pm

Elaine, at Elaine’s Florist, called me very excited as she got a 12K order off her Internet site. She has been a great supporter of Directory One. Customers who sell Christmas items should buy an additional 1000 dollars PPC during November and December.
